St. John has joined the Laudato Si’ Initiative (LSI) and we need a Green Team for our parish. What this team will do is help look for ways our parish can be energy efficiency, conservation (where appropriate), and then expand to helping to reduce waste and improve recycling and purchasing practices. Team members will join the auditors as they conduct our energy, water and waste audits. They will help develop a 3-year Sustainability Improvement Plan specific to our parish organization. Report monthly energy and water use via Energy Star Portfolio Manager, an online tool and network with others who can help the parish meet our sustainability goals.
